Fed: Bonuses available to late enrollers

CANBERRA, April 23 AAP - Full time tertiary students who were late to enrol this year
will not miss out on the government's $950 Learning and Training Bonus Payment.

As part of the government's stimulus package, students were required to be enrolled
by February 3 to receive the cash hand-out.

The government has extended the deadline to the end of June.

"The government realises many students can't finalise their study plans until well
into the academic year," Human Services Minister Joe Ludwig said in a statement on Thursday.

Students who paid tax in the past financial year will also receive an additional stimulus
payment of up to $900.
